The control system (also called the pack or topside) is the brain of your hot tub. It manages the heater, pumps, lighting and temperature, and is what you interact with via the panel on the tub's edge. The pack is housed in the equipment bay; the topside panel is the user interface.
Balboa is the market leader in hot tub control systems, used in the majority of branded hot tubs sold in the UK and US. Key characteristics:
The Balboa VS501Z, VS502Z and BP2100 are particularly common in mid-range tubs. The newer BP500 series includes full app integration.
